Get your kill for the day.
I wake up every morning with anxiety — a gnawing sense of dissatisfaction.
It doesn’t matter how great yesterday was… it’s always just there.
For a while, I thought something was wrong with me.
But after our podcast with bestselling author, Steven Pressfield, I realized:
I’m just a caveman. And I haven’t made my kill yet.
Back then, if you didn’t hunt — you didn’t eat.And that pressure? It was real.
Today, it’s not a spear I carry — it’s a to-do list.But the instinct is the same.
Until I’ve done the one thing that matters —the meaningful thing that moves the needle —I feel off.
So here’s the system I’ve adopted:
Every night, I answer one question:
What’s my kill for tomorrow?
One clear, meaningful task.
Then in the morning, before I do anything else, I go hunt.
No phone. No distractions.
Once that’s done? The rest of the day feels like dessert.
So this week, I have a challenge for you:
Before you go to bed tonight, write down your “kill” for tomorrow.
Wake up, lock in, and don’t come back empty-handed.
