My new #1 rule for getting in shape.
"I REALLY don't feel like working out..."
That thought kept creeping in — again and again.
I used to think I had to push through those moments. To force it.
But here’s the truth:
👉 Forcing requires motivation.
👉 Motivation is a finite resource.
👉 Finite resources are not sustainable.
So I tried something different.
Instead of asking, “How do I force myself to do this?”
I asked, “What kind of movement do I actually look forward to?”
For me, that’s walks. Basketball. Long runs by the water. Yoga.
I canceled my gym membership and made those my routine.
The result?
I’m moving 6-7 days a week. Down 10 pounds. Feeling more energized than I have in years.
But more importantly… I’m enjoying the process.
Discipline doesn’t have to mean misery.
Find what feels good. Do it often. Let consistency do the rest.
